I have an HP pavillion desktop model h8-1240t with Window 7 64 bit professional. The computer is working fine except for the fact that I cannot make a System Repair disk through windows that is bootable. When I boot to the repair disc, get message'non system disk'. If I try to boot to the recovery discs I made when I first got the computer-same thing happens-disks not recognized. When I boot to a Win 7 Professional disc made by a computer repair shop, the computer boots, loads the windows files, but when I get to choose Repair--message says that disk non compatible with this version of the operating system. Same thing happens when I create boot disc from Iso file onto USB and boot from it. Goes all to way to when I choose repair and then message not compatible with this version of windows.
I have completely reistalled the Win 7 64 bit professional operating system using an Windows install disc from within Windows-no help. I have fixed the MBR using Avast-still no help.
I need to be able to boot to a repair disc in case I crash and need to install my Windows Image backup.
Please help.
