Compaq Evo D5pM - (Pent4 - 1.7GHz) difficulty using this model number searching for parts or info.  Serial number hasn't been helpful.

Someone said "aka Compaq D510." Attempting to purchase memory my model number (found on the case) was not listed so I tried using D510 (it was listed). Apparently not the same computer/ mine uses 168-pin sticks and the D- 510 came up 188-pin. I made my "upgrade" purchase via verifying the pin count and using the type already installed.

My computer is vertical mini tower type - looks like D-510 - but as I said the components are different.

Wondering if anyone knows a Compaq Evo model w/ same components (P4-1.7GHz; 168-pin memory)  I could use for search purposes. The smaller horizontal model Evo that often comes up uses different (smaller) cards, etc.

Tried keyboard shortcut Ctrl-Alt-S to bring up model number (etc) but my keyboard shortcuts do not work on this computer. Running onboard Search came up with nothing for HP Assistant.

It's a great 3rd computer I've upgraded w/ spare parts,  use it remote mostly for music. Only problem has been obscure model number. If anyone has something helpful to add would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance...

ps I'm currently attempting to identify MB for what it's worth but an alternate model number that works would be awesome.
