I know this is going to seem stupid, but my boss decided to blow away the user account on one of our HP t620 Thin Clients  (leaving only the Administrator account) running windows 10. Now, the problem lies in the fact, that I can't recreate the user account, I can't create any accounts actually. I go into other users to create an account, click on add someone else to this pc,it throws up a black window for about .5 seconds, then the cursor turns into a thinking wheel and once I move the mouse, thinking wheel goes away. Is there any way to create a new user without having to reimage the hard drive?

I got the message that my computers the Slimeline s5710 was not compatible with Windows 10, without explaination. I summized that it was because of the graphics card.   I have looked into graphics cards and picked up an inexpensive one that is compatible to Windows 10, but it's now appearing that the graphics card is not compatable with the computer which only has a 220 watts power supply and the graphics card needs a 300 watts.  Does HP have a fix for this so I can upgrade my computer to Windows 10?

I'm trying to run linux ubuntu on Virtualbox. It fails after installing successfully because virtualization technology isn't enabled. I enabled vt-x in BIOS and shutdown my pc and turned power off then started it but virtualbox didn't respond either giving me the same result:

                    smbus base address uninitialized - upgrade bios or use force_addr=0xaddr

 

I installed Intel(R) Processor Identification Utility to check virtualization technology on win 7 but was still off.

 

I have been working on this problem full day with almost no result!

Hello everyone:

 

Recently I have got this product, but BIOS language is in German and I'd like to know if it is posible to change it.

 

Note that in hp support page, in the "product release information" section says that this product has been sold in only for Austria and Germany. Maybe that's why it is not posible to change the language to another one different from German.

 

Please, let my know if itt is posible to change it, and if yes, how to do it.

How do i factory rest my HP Compaq dc7900 small form factor without having a start up disc..it's having some issues and I think it would be best if I just reset it back to the beginning..any one have any suggestions

just a week ago my friend had bought the HP External HDD from Amazon...today by mistake i formatted it luckily nothing important was saved in it....moreover the Hp SimpleSave Backup software is not there in the drive anymore...everything's blank ...please help me download the simple save software.

We are using HP ALM 12.5 version, ALM Site admin is running fine.

Icon in the task bar is blinking with error.

I have upgraded from windows 7 to Windows 10 Pro first build. I am now trying to upgrade from this build to Windows 10 pro Version 1511. But each time the upgrade hangs at 64% and 77 % (Installing features and drivers). I then get a liuttle screen reading "Microsoft Visual C++ runtime library error . C/Windows/BT-Source/Setupplatform.exe.

Once I click ok the upgrade stopes and my previous versionof Windows 10 is restored.

I have tried all kinds of solution including unintalling my AV, Intel Video Card.  I have even followed the advice of performing the upgrade using the Media Creation Too, or via a USB, all to no avail. .

 

 

Please is there anyone who can help me with the solution so I can upogared to the latest version?

after enable virtualization technology from bios ,when i am starting any os in vmware in my windows it shows a BSOD error CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT and says your pc ran into problem and needs to restart.

When I removed Windows 10 so I could use my Windows 8.1 as before,   I can not open Reader.

When I try and open a PDF file  from my email the screen will go to Reader then  turn orange then  go black and I am not able to see antyhing.   Hope you can help me.

I know a similar question has been posed before, but the answer was full of talk about "partitions", which I, as a total computer ignormaus, simply do not understand. I just want Drive Encryption for HP Protect Tools to go, so that I can complete the upgrade to Windows 10, but it simply refuses to go anywhere. I click on uninstall, and it stubbornly refuses to leave.

 

Is there a simple, straightforward answer to this that doesn't involve manipulations impossible for the total incompetent? Failing that, is there a simple, step-by-step guide to how it's done? Or am simply I doomed forever to stay with Windows 7?

My computer won't start at all. I get keyboard error... I have moved the usb keyboard, changed the keyboard, etc... If I move it to the front of the tower it does start further to a screen that says...."The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows installation cannot proceed. To install Windows, click OK to restart the computer, the restart the installation...this just loops as it reboots now.

when I did a diagnostics tests earlier it made a Windows backup so I have tried rebooting with this in the drive but nothing. I am still getting Keyboard Error and this is stopping the system going any further.

p.s the keyboard is working fine, it is plugged in the front and works fine... The other diagnostics tests said the memory, motherboard etc etc all passed...

I am running an HP desktop computer with Windows 10. How can I change the default language from Spanish to English? I have gone to the Language/keyboards window and changed to English predetermined. But the computer starts searching for the language pack. Then, I get a message that "Only one language pack allowed," and nothing happens!

Hi,

HP Envy 700-414 often fails to shutdown.

It presents the login screen instead of completing the shutdown.

It is necessary to shutdown holding the power switch or disconnecting the compouter.

After I shutdown with the power switch, normal shutdown works again for a variable time period (days).

I have tried these shutdown paths:

Windows > Power > Shutdown

Alt + F4

Alt Ctrl Delete

Is there a fix to achieve a reliable shutdown?

Do to a catastrophic virus attack I had to reload all of the software that I purchased with the computer. It came with the software factory image on a hard drive partition. None of the product keys were provided with the computer when it arrived. None are shown on any of the machine tags and labels.  Now I cannot use the MS office package that I bought with the computer because I do not have the product keys. So far no one from hp or microsoft has been willing to help.

I use SSM to install softpaqs. The software is not suppressing all of the dialog boxes. I am running from a command line script using switches /a /install /noreboot.

 

Log files show errors, but do not include any useful diagnostic material.

At time of registration I wasn't given any option for selection of bluetooth headset so I thought selection will come later on. But it didn't, and I want bluetooth headset.

 

I emailed about it but there's no reply!
